Job summary

RECRUIT EXPRESS PTE LTD in Singapore is seeking a Procurement & Logistics Specialist to oversee procurement, logistics, and production planning, ensuring smooth operations, cost efficiency, and on-time delivery while maintaining quality.

You will drive supplier negotiations, assess capabilities, support EC processes, manage inventory, and prepare weekly purchasing reports to support KPIs. The role requires 3-5 years in purchasing in contract manufacturing.

Qualifications

• Minimum Diploma or degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration or related field.
• Minimum 3 - 5 year purchasing experience in contract manufacturing industry, with emphasis on environment of cable, harness, and/or electromechanical assemblies which include mechanical, electronic components.

Responsibilities

• Oversee procurement, logistics, and production planning to ensure smooth operational flow and timely delivery.
• Drive cost savings by negotiating competitive pricing, favorable payment terms, and shortened lead times with suppliers.
• Conduct market research to identify and evaluate potential suppliers for machine components, materials, and procurement products locally and overseas.
• Assess supplier capabilities and reliability to ensure quality and delivery standards are met.
• Support Engineering Change (EC) processes by ensuring data accuracy and collaborating with suppliers to implement changes effectively.
• Monitor and maintain optimal inventory levels to meet production demands without excess stock.
• Communicate proactively with cross-departmental stakeholders to align procurement activities.
• Analyze data and evaluate variation factors to resolve procurement and supply issues.
• Take ownership of tasks and provide regular data analysis and progress updates to the Purchasing Manager.
• Prepare weekly purchasing reports detailing procurement activities to improve operational efficiency and support departmental KPIs.
• Provide management with reviews and recommendations to enhance purchasing processes and procedures.
• Perform additional ad-hoc duties as assigned by the Purchasing Manager
