Job summary

RECRUIT EXPRESS PTE LTD, Tai Seng, is seeking a Purchasing Manager to develop and execute sourcing strategies that drive cost competitiveness, quality, and supply continuity. You will lead supplier selection, contract negotiation, and risk management while ensuring timely material availability.

You will collaborate with internal stakeholders and suppliers, manage procurement activities, review quality issues with vendors, and deliver sustainable cost savings aligned with business targets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in supply chain, engineering, logistics or a related field; Master’s preferred.
• Minimum 8 years of combined experience in supply chain, program management, or engineering.
• Experience in cable harness and box-build / manufacturing environments is a strong plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop strategic plans for the purchasing function.
• Contributes to bottom line/top line results, managing spend/projects according to targets.
• Conducts risk assessments and designs countermeasures for spend.
• Reviews vendor quality issues and ensures corrective actions are taken.
• Plan purchasing orders internally with Sales and externally with suppliers.
• Source for required materials and negotiate to ensure landed cost optimization.
• Evaluate suppliers and recommend selections to stakeholders.
• BOM and material planning to ensure smooth delivery at minimal inventory.
