Job summary

RECRUIT EXPRESS PTE LTD is seeking a Purchasing Manager in Singapore to develop sourcing strategies, negotiate supplier contracts, and optimize costs while ensuring supply continuity. You will drive vendor selection, manage inventory levels, and collaborate with internal teams to deliver sustainable savings.

The role requires 8+ years in supply chain or engineering, with experience in manufacturing environments and strong cross-functional leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, engineering, logistics, business (Master’s preferred)
• 8+ years in supply chain, program management, or engineering managing multiple complex projects
• Experience in cable harness and box-build / manufacturing environment
• Ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage projects across organizational lines
• Ability to prioritize under pressure and adapt quickly

Responsibilities

• Develop strategic plans for the purchasing function
• Lead supplier evaluations and negotiate contracts
• Manage cost-saving initiatives and supplier risk
• Review quality issues with vendors and ensure CAPA
• Plan BOM and material requirements to minimize inventory
• Coordinate cross-functional teams and budgeted spend
