Job summary

Mdm Ling Bakery Pte Ltd is seeking a proactive Business Development Manager to drive growth across corporate, wholesale, retail and institutional channels in Singapore. You will own your portfolio, manage the full sales cycle from initial approach to repeat orders, and report to the founder.

You will leverage your deep knowledge of the F&B trade to open doors, maintain margins and build lasting customer relationships, with our factory and warehouse behind you to ensure feasibility of commitments.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Business, Marketing, Food Science or related field.
• At least 4 years in business development or key account sales, with 2+ years in F&B.
• Proven track record opening new accounts and hitting sales targets.
• Solid knowledge of F&B commercial practices: costing, margins, shelf life, lead times, trade terms.

Responsibilities

• Identify, approach and win corporate, wholesale, retail and institutional accounts.
• Build and maintain an accurate pipeline for forecasting.
• Prepare and present proposals, tastings and pitches to prospects.
• Negotiate pricing, volumes, lead times, and terms within our commercial framework.
• Grow owned accounts with campaigns and regular reviews.
• Own festive and corporate gifting cycle, including forecasting.
• Coordinate with production for lead times and customization.
• Ensure orders are delivered accurately and on time with logistics teams.
• Monitor competitor activity and market trends; report insights.
• Submit weekly pipeline updates and monthly target reports.
• Represent the company at trade shows and events.
