Job summary

YONG LEE PLUMBING&SANITARY PTE. LTD. seeks a proactive Business Development Representative to identify new tender opportunities in the construction and engineering sector and to initiate contact with Main Contractors, Developers, and Consultants.

You will manage relationships through the bid process, qualify leads with the estimating team, track activities in CRM, and negotiate terms to secure projects. The role requires strong communication, independence, and a solid understanding of tendering.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in business development, sales, or client-facing roles within construction or engineering.
• Understanding of tender processes and project lifecycles.
• Existing local construction network is a plus.
• Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
• Self-motivated and able to work independently.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Diploma in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Identify new construction projects and tender opportunities.
• Source and approach decision-makers to introduce M&E services.
• Monitor tender portals for bidding opportunities.
• Build and maintain relationships with potential and current clients.
• Qualify leads and assist estimating with bids and PQQs.
• Track sales activities and project statuses in CRM.
• Follow up on tenders and negotiate terms to close deals.
