Job summary

The Google Cloud Platform team in Singapore seeks a Database Sales Specialist to grow our operational database business. You will build relationships with customers, understand business drivers, and articulate database use cases across cross‑functional teams.

You will lead go‑to‑market strategies, drive revenue growth, and work with account teams, technical leads, procurement, and legal to close agreements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 10 years of experience in software sales roles.
• 5 years of experience promoting database solutions or database software.
• Experience in a quota carrying sales role in the software sales industry.
• Experience in planning, pitching, and executing a territory business.
• Experience working with C-level executives and cross‑functionally across all levels of management.
• Experience with databases technologies and products and cloud deployment options.
• Experience collaborating with internal/external teams to inventory software estates and close agreements.
• Experience supporting executive relationships and expanding territories/accounts.

Responsibilities

• Make databases a leading conversation in sales discussions and strategy.
• Build relationships with customers as a trusted advisor to understand drivers and technology footprint.
• Deliver against quota and achieve strategic growth goals while forecasting and reporting.
• Work with cross‑functional teams to develop go‑to‑market strategies and progress pipeline.
• Collaborate with partners to activate database‑specific partnerships and close deals.
