Job summary

Google Asia Pacific PTE. LTD. is seeking a Database Sales Specialist to grow the operational database business. You will lead day-to-day relationships with cross-functional teams, demonstrate product value, and advance database use cases across customers and partners.

You will engage executives, craft go-to-market strategies, and drive pipeline while maintaining a strong focus on quota attainment and customer success in a cloud database context.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 10 years of experience in software sales roles.
• 5 years of experience promoting database solutions or database software.
• Experience in a quota carrying sales role in the software sales industry.
• Experience in planning, pitching, and executing a territory business.
• Experience working with C-level executives and cross-functionally across all levels of management.

Responsibilities

• Make databases a leading conversation in sales discussions/account strategy, develop country and segment specific plans for Google Cloud Platform (GCP) database services, and work with sub-region leadership team to define databases pen and ramp strategies.
• Build relationships with customers as a trusted advisor to understand their business drivers/technology footprint, identify appropriate Google databases solution use cases, manage complex business cycles and influence long-term strategic direction.
• Deliver against quota and achieve strategic business and growth goals while forecasting and reporting territory’s business.
• Work with account and cross-functional teams (e.g., sales representatives and sales managers, customer engineering, marketing, customer success) to develop go-to-market strategies, generate and progress pipeline, understand the customers, and provide excellent prospect and customer experience.
• Collaborate with partner team to activate database-specific partners, ensuring sales teams and customers have access to partners.
