Job summary

ZIM is seeking dedicated planners to design safe, seaworthy stowage plans for container vessels and to advocate round-trip planning across regions. You will ensure compliance with safety, stability, and dangerous goods segregation while optimizing vessel utilization and coordinating with Marine, Terminal Operations, Network, Deployment, and regional teams.

Fresh graduates or candidates with 1–3 years of non-maritime experience are welcome; diploma or bachelor’s degree preferred, and familiarity

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in any discipline.
• Experience in Stowage Planning, Terminal Planning, Seafaring or Marine Operations is advantageous.
• Fresh graduates or 1–3 years of non-maritime work experience welcome.

Responsibilities

• Design safe, seaworthy stowage plans for container vessels.
• Advocate and execute round-trip stowage planning across regions.
• Ensure compliance with safety, stability, and dangerous goods segregation.
• Optimize vessel utilization to maximize intake and minimize costs.
• Collaborate with Marine, Terminal Operations, Network, Deployment, and regional teams.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation.
• Contribute to the development and improvement of Global Planning SOPs.
