Job summary

Maersk is seeking a Stowage Planner to design shipboard stowage layouts ensuring safety and efficiency. You will work with terminals, commands, and operations teams to optimize vessel utilisation while controlling costs, and participate in continuous SOP improvements.

Training will cover Basic Theory and Stowage Proficiency assessments, with diverse stakeholders and rotating night shifts. Qualified candidates include those with maritime studies diplomas or STEM backgrounds and about 3 years of

Qualifications

• This role requires 3+ years in stowage or related maritime planning.
• Degree or diploma in maritime studies or STEM is preferred.
• Ability to learn multiple programs and software quickly.

Responsibilities

• Design positions of boxes on ships and create seaworthy layouts.
• Ensure safe stowage with segregation of dangerous goods and weight distribution.
• Maintain vessel utilisation while minimizing costs.
• Coordinate with terminals, ship commands, and operations teams.
• Review SOPs and update processes for optimal performance.
• Support operations during berthing windows and night shifts.
