- Manage statutory reporting and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
- Collaborate with internal teams to maintain accurate financial records.
- Lead statutory audit processes across multiple countries.
- Supervise and mentor team of audit professionals, and provide guidance to the team on managing relationships with local tax agents.
- Liaise with external auditors, tax agents, and regulatory bodies as required.
- Monitor changes in legislation, identify risks and implement necessary adjustments to processes.
- Provide guidance and training to colleagues on statutory compliance matters.
- Conduct periodic reviews to ensure adherence to internal and external requirements.
- Prepare and submit timely reports to upper management and stakeholders.
- Support ad-hoc projects related to compliance and reporting.
A successful Statutory Compliance Lead should have:
- At least 5 years of experience in audit, and at least 4 years of commercial experience.
- Ability to manage a team.
- Strong knowledge of statutory compliance and financial reporting standards.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- A proactive approach to identifying and addressing compliance risks.
- Familiarity with relevant software and tools used in financial reporting.
