Job description

  • Manage statutory reporting and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to maintain accurate financial records.
  • Lead statutory audit processes across multiple countries.
  • Supervise and mentor team of audit professionals, and provide guidance to the team on managing relationships with local tax agents.
  • Liaise with external auditors, tax agents, and regulatory bodies as required.
  • Monitor changes in legislation, identify risks and implement necessary adjustments to processes.
  • Provide guidance and training to colleagues on statutory compliance matters.
  • Conduct periodic reviews to ensure adherence to internal and external requirements.
  • Prepare and submit timely reports to upper management and stakeholders.
  • Support ad-hoc projects related to compliance and reporting.

A successful Statutory Compliance Lead should have:

  • At least 5 years of experience in audit, and at least 4 years of commercial experience.
  • Ability to manage a team.
  • Strong knowledge of statutory compliance and financial reporting standards.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • A proactive approach to identifying and addressing compliance risks.
  • Familiarity with relevant software and tools used in financial reporting.
