Job summary

Illumina Cambridge Limited Singapore Branch seeks a Manager/Staff Scientist in the Applications and Customer Enablement (ACE) team to lead a regional group of scientists, guide priorities, and ensure successful delivery of customer-focused workflow solutions.

You will collaborate with regional and global partners, shape strategy, represent ACE in the region, and drive execution of initiatives that accelerate adoption of Illumina technologies and workflows.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated leadership in a customer-facing scientific or technical environment.
• Strong understanding of genomics workflows including NGS, automation, LIMS, and data analysis.
• Experience leading complex projects and aligning priorities across multiple teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and develop a team of scientists, fostering a collaborative and high-performing culture.
• Provide leadership in workflow integration, automation, informatics, and LIMS-enabled solutions, ensuring coordination across disciplines.
• Partner with ACE leadership to define priorities, align resources, and execute regional and global objectives.
• Represent the ACE team within the region as the main coordination point between commercial, product development, bioinformatics, operations, and customer-facing teams.
• Drive planning, execution, tracking, and communication of customer projects and internal initiatives.
• Balance priorities in a matrixed organisation to meet customer commitments and strategic objectives.
