Job summary

Illumina is seeking a Manager/Staff Scientist to lead a regional team of scientists supporting strategic customer engagements. You will guide priorities, coordinate cross-functional activities, and ensure delivery of customer-focused workflow solutions that accelerate adoption of Illumina technologies.

You will collaborate with regional and global partners to shape strategy, translate customer requirements into product feedback, and manage complex projects across matrixed teams while traveling

Qualifications

• Leadership experience in a customer-facing scientific/technical environment.
• Strong understanding of genomics workflows, NGS, automation, LIMS, and data analysis.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and develop a team of scientists, fostering a collaborative culture.
• Provide leadership in workflow integration, automation, informatics, and LIMS-enabled solutions.
• Partner with ACE leadership to define priorities and allocate resources across regional/global teams.
• Represent the ACE team within the region, coordinating with commercial, product development, and bioinformatics teams.
• Drive planning, execution, tracking, and communication of customer projects.
