Job summary

Ambiq Micro, Inc. seeks a Staff Applications Software Engineer to support Apollo and Atomiq SoCs. You will work with hardware and software teams to develop software, drivers, and example applications for evaluation hardware and customers.

The role requires strong embedded C, RTOS experience, and the ability to create documentation and guidelines for customers. Collaboration across global teams and lab work are key aspects of this position.

Qualifications

• MS in ECE or CS with 6+ years experience, or BS with 8+ years.
• Experience with embedded MCU development on Cortex-M and RTOS.
• Familiarity with MCU peripherals (SPI, I2C, UART, USB, MIPI).
• Experience with Zephyr is a plus.
• Experience with scripting languages (Python) is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Design, debug, port, and analyze embedded MCU software drivers and applications.
• Collaborate with hardware and software teams to tackle system-level issues.
• Create application notes and software guidelines for customers.
• Assist customers with AmbiqSDK usage and hardware platforms.
• Support field engineering with customer issues and contribute software examples.
