Job summary

Ambiq is seeking a Staff Applications Software Engineer to support Apollo/Atomiq SoCs. You will work with hardware/software teams to develop drivers, HAL updates, and Zephyr enablement, and assist field engineering with customer issues.

The ideal candidate has 6+ years in embedded MCU development in C, RTOS experience, and hands-on lab work, with familiarity in peripherals like SPI, I2C, UART, USB, and Bluetooth. Excellent communication is essential.

Qualifications

• MS in ECE or CS with 6+ years or BS in ECE/CS with 8+ years.
• Proficient in embedded C and MCU programming.
• Experience with RTOS and Cortex-M MCUs.
• Familiarity with Zephyr, MCU IDEs, and peripheral interfaces (SPI, I2C, UART, USB).

Responsibilities

• Design, debug, port, and analyze embedded software drivers and HALs.
• Collaborate with HW and SW teams to resolve complex system issues.
• Create application notes and software design guidelines.
• Support field engineering with customer issues and documentation.
