Job summary

YouTrip is seeking a Staff Software Engineer to lead backend systems and drive scalable solutions across our cloud infrastructure. You will own design, architecture, and quality, mentoring engineers and collaborating with product, QA, and operations to deliver robust software.

Ideal candidates have 7+ years in software development, deep Go expertise, and a strong background in distributed systems and microservices. Experience in Java, Python, or Ruby is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, or a related field.
• 7+ years of experience in software development, with backend and cloud infrastructure.
• Expert-level proficiency in designing and developing high-performance, concurrent applications with Go.
• Knowledge of Java, Python, or Ruby is a plus.
• Experience with distributed systems, microservices, and cloud-native computing.
• Strong understanding of testing (unit and integration) for backend apps.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership and guidance to a team of software engineers.
• Own the design and architecture of complex software solutions.
• Take ownership of several software components, ensuring robustness, availability, and scalability.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align with system architecture.
• Plan and execute projects to deliver software products on time.
• Write high-quality, scalable, and maintainable code; participate in code reviews.
• Create and maintain technical documentation for code, design, and architecture.
