Job summary

SEA Singapore is seeking a backend/software engineer to partner with stakeholders and cross-functional teams, transforming business needs into scalable, cloud-native backend services. You will design, build, and ship systems using Python or Go, with emphasis on clean, well-tested code and strong ownership.

Responsibilities include enabling reliable feature delivery through robust deployment practices, and contributing to enterprise-level systems while collaborating across product and engineering

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or above in Computer Science, Information Systems, Computer Engineering, Information Technology or a related field.
• Relevant full time or internship experience in Backend/ Fullstack/Software development.
• Strong foundation in data structures, algorithms, operating systems, networks, and databases.
• Experience with Python or Go.
• Familiarity with RESTful API design and relational database design.
• Experience in Linux development environments, with exposure to Docker and Nginx.
• Passion for coding, innovation, and solving complex technical challenges.
• Experience in web security and distributed systems is preferred.
• Strong ownership of product delivery.

• Contribute to enterprise-level systems using Python or Go and related frameworks
• Leverage engineering practices, including development to accelerate delivery while writing clean, maintainable, and well-tested code with strong ownership of quality through reviews and documentation.
• Enable reliable delivery of new features and services through effective infrastructure and deployment practices, while optimizing system performance, reliability, scalability, and developer workflows.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or above in Computer Science, Information Systems, Computer Engineering, Information Technology or a related field.
• Relevant full time or internship experience in Backend/ Fullstack/Software development
• Strong foundation in computer science fundamentals, including data structures, algorithms, operating systems, networks, and databases.
• Strong experience with Python or Go
• Familiarity with object-oriented programming, RESTful API design, and relational database design.
• Experience working in Linux development environments, with exposure to Docker and Nginx.
• Passion for coding, innovation, and solving complex technical challenges.
• Experience in web security and designing or developing large-scale distributed systems is preferred.
