STARRY RECRUITMENT PTE. LTD. is seeking a hands-on SRE Leader to build and guide the Singapore SRE team, combining leadership with active involvement in design and development to boost the reliability of PatSnap's global SaaS platform.

The role focuses on platforms, automation, and AI-enabled tooling while contributing to the broader AI transformation. You will lead technical projects end to end, establish 24/7 on-call coverage, and collaborate with engineering, product, and security teams

Qualifications

At least 8 years of experience in software development, platform engineering, SRE, or a related technical field.
Strong programming skills in Java, Python, Go, or JavaScript/TypeScript with proven production delivery.
Solid understanding of distributed systems, high-availability architecture, and SaaS platforms.
Hands-on experience with AWS, Kubernetes, CI/CD, and observability, including production operations and incident response.
Practical experience applying AI tools or agents to engineering workflows, with repeatable practices.
Strong technical judgment, ownership, and communication, with ability to develop engineers and drive cross-team delivery.
Chinese language proficiency is an advantage.

Responsibilities

Build and develop the Singapore SRE team, setting technical direction and delivery priorities.
Improve the reliability, security, scalability, and engineering efficiency of our global SaaS platform.
Lead technical projects end to end, contributing hands-on to design, development, and production rollout.
Build internal platforms, developer tools, and automation to solve systemic problems and reduce repetitive work.
Establish and maintain 24/7 on-call coverage through a team rotation, participate in on-call duties, and lead major incident response and follow-up improvements.
Strengthen service governance, observability, reliability targets, and release safety.
Identify and deliver practical applications of AI tools and agents that measurably improve engineering productivity, quality, or reliability.
Collaborate with engineering, product, and security teams across Singapore, China, and other locations.
