Job summary

GlobalFoundries is seeking a Senior Facilities Engineer to deliver operations and engineering services for manufacturing environments. The role involves managing building space, maintaining facility assets, and coordinating maintenance and capital projects to support production.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering and at least 5 years of mechanical experience in a cleanroom environment, with proven contractor oversight capabilities.

• At least 5 years of mechanical experience in a cleanroom environment is required.

Responsibilities

• Operates, monitors and maintains mechanical components and systems including electrical equipment, HVAC, chemical, energy, water and waste water treatment.
• Hires and oversees outside contractors (electricians, elevator repair, grounds maintenance, painters, plumbers, roofers).
• Maintains and secures facilities equipment assets.
• Develops and implements capital improvement projects (construction, remodeling, renovation, maintenance of buildings).
• Conducts periodic inspections and advises on plans and specifications.
• Inspects facilities and prepares reports on conditions and repairs costs.

Your Job:

Deliver Facilities operation & engineering services, building/office space management services, and facilities equipment asset maintenance management to enable manufacturing operations. Typically performs one or more of the following in capacity of either an individual contributor (as directed and/or independently), or as a manager:

• Operates, monitors and maintains, troubleshoots, repairs and replaces facilities mechanical components and systems such as electrical equipment, HVAC (heating, ventilation and air conditioning), chemical, energy, ultra water & waste water treatment
• Hires and oversees outside contractors such as electricians, elevator repairmen, grounds maintenance workers, painters, plumbers and roofers
• Maintains and secures facilities equipment asset
• Develops and implements capital improvement projects, such as construction, remodeling, renovation, and maintenance of buildings and facilities, including preliminary concept development, detailed engineering design and bidding
• Conducts periodic inspections of work in progress and advises construction supervisors and contractors on plans and specifications
• Inspects existing facilities and prepares reports on the condition, deficiencies observed, designs necessary for repairs and estimated cost of repairs

Other Responsibilities:

• Perform all activities in a safe and responsible manner and support all Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements and programs

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering
• At least 5 years of experience on Mechanical Experience in working in Cleanroom environment
