Job summary

GlobalFoundries in Singapore seeks an experienced Facilities Engineer to deliver operation and engineering services that support manufacturing activities. You will manage building spaces, equipment assets and vendor relationships to keep our highly controlled environment running smoothly.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical engineering and at least five years in electrical work, with exposure to cleanrooms and regulated facilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical engineering is required.
• At least 5 years of electrical experience.
• Experience in a Cleanroom environment.

Responsibilities

• Operates, monitors and maintains electrical, HVAC, and water/ waste water systems; troubleshoots and repairs.
• Hires and supervises external contractors (electricians, elevator technicians, plumbers, etc.).
• Maintains and secures facilities equipment assets.
• Develops and implements capital improvement projects for buildings and facilities.
• Conducts periodic inspections and guides construction work on plans and specs.
• Inspects facilities and prepares condition and cost reports.

Your Job :

• Deliver Facilities operation & engineering services, building/office space management services, and facilities equipment asset maintenance management to enable manufacturing operations. Typically performs one or more of the following in capacity of either an individual contributor (as directed and/or independently), or as a manager:
• Operates, monitors and maintains, troubleshoots, repairs and replaces facilities mechanical components and systems such as electrical equipment, HVAC (heating, ventilation and air conditioning), chemical, energy, ultra water & waste water treatment
• Hires and oversees outside contractors such as electricians, elevator repairmen, grounds maintenance workers, painters, plumbers and roofers
• Maintains and secures facilities equipment asset
• Develops and implements capital improvement projects, such as construction, remodeling, renovation, and maintenance of buildings and facilities, including preliminary concept development, detailed engineering design and bidding
• Conducts periodic inspections of work in progress and advises construction supervisors and contractors on plans and specifications
• Inspects existing facilities and prepares reports on the condition, deficiencies observed, designs necessary for repairs and estimated cost of repairs

Other Responsibilities:

• Perform all activities in a safe and responsible manner and support all Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements and programs
