Job summary

GlobalFoundries Singapore (GF) is seeking a Facilities Engineer to deliver operations and engineering services for building and office space supporting manufacturing operations. You will operate, monitor, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain mechanical systems including electrical, HVAC, water and waste treatment, and oversee contractors for specialized work.

• Operate, monitor, troubleshoot, repair and maintain mechanical systems such as electrical equipment, HVAC, water and waste water treatment.
• Hire and oversee outside contractors for specialized trades (electricians, painters, plumbers, etc.).
• Develop and implement capital improvement projects including design, bidding and construction phases.
• Conduct periodic inspections, prepare reports on facility conditions and estimate repair costs.
• Perform all activities safely and support EH&S requirements; collaborate on other projects as needed.

Job Descriptions: Deliver Facilities operation & engineering services, building/office space management services, and facilities equipment asset maintenance management to enable manufacturing operations. Typically performs one or more of the following in capacity of either an individual contributor (as directed and/or independently), or as a manager:

• Operates, monitors and maintains, troubleshoots, repairs and replaces facilities mechanical components and systems such as electrical equipment, HVAC (heating, ventilation and air conditioning), chemical, energy, ultra water & waste water treatment
• Hires and oversees outside contractors such as electricians, elevator repairmen, grounds maintenance workers, painters, plumbers and roofers
• Maintains and secures facilities equipment asset
• Develops and implements capital improvement projects, such as construction, remodeling, renovation, and maintenance of buildings and facilities, including preliminary concept development, detailed engineering design and bidding
• Conducts periodic inspections of work in progress and advises construction supervisors and contractors on plans and specifications
• Inspects existing facilities and prepares reports on the condition, deficiencies observed, designs necessary for repairs and estimated cost of repairs
• Perform all activities in a safe and responsible manner and support all Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements
• Work and collaborate other projects and/or assignments as needed
