Job summary

Directions Group Inc Pte Ltd in Singapore seeks a Specialist to develop and execute events for luxury lifestyle brand clients in fashion, jewellery, beauty, hospitality, and corporate events. You will cover research, planning and implementation to deliver impeccable events and cultivate enduring client and partner relationships.

The role requires a Diploma or Degree in Business Studies, Marketing, Public Relations or Mass Communications and a minimum of 3 years in event management or marketing

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Business Studies, Marketing, PR or Mass Communications is required.
• Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in Event management or Marketing Communications; agency experience and luxury lifestyle industry preferred.
• Existing network of contacts in customer databases, design and production vendors is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Preparation of event proposals, pitches and presentations.
• Monitor and manage the project, including the development of plans and budgets as well as scope and changes to budgets.
• Manage communications, ensuring that any issues, changes, or required performances that impact projects are documented and addressed with the key team members.
• Source, establish, develop and actively manage relationships with key vendors providing for the best available resources within budget and overall project success.
• Responsible for ensuring that procurement of permits, licenses, and all other paperwork for events are managed by respective production personnel.
• Composing and executing detailed checklists and program schedules.
• Meet deadlines, prioritize tasks, report on key accounts and deliver prompt and sound decisions.
• Assisting in hands‑on set up and tear down.
• Maintain complete and updated files with all project/event details and information.
• All other duties as assigned

Working with a small team of dynamic individuals, the Specialist will develop and execute events for the agency’s luxury lifestyle brand clients across fashion, jewellery, beauty, hospitality, and corporate events. The job scope will cover all relevant research, planning, and implementation work required to deliver and execute an event. In addition, he/she will also be responsible for maintaining and cultivating enduring relationships with clients and partners.

Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Business Studies, Marketing, Public Relations or Mass Communications
• Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in Event management or Marketing Communications; prior experience in an agency setting and/or Luxury Lifestyle industry preferred
• An existing network of contacts in customer database, design and production vendors will be advantageous
• A driven self-starter who is passionate about events and has a positive ‘can-do’ and contributory attitude with excellent problem-solving skills
• Excellent time-management, ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment
• Meticulous with strong attention to details
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• A team player with strong interpersonal skills, is proactive and able to work independently
• Some night and weekend work is required
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications: Word, Excel, PowerPoint. Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator would be advantageous.
