Job summary

AZBIL SINGAPORE PTE. LTD. invites a Proposal Engineer to lead tendering and proposal development for smart building projects, combining technical knowledge with commercial insight to deliver competitive bids and support project success.

Key duties include reviewing tender documents, preparing competitive proposals, coordinating with Engineering, Projects, and Sales teams, and ensuring accurate cost estimation and timely submissions to secure winning bids.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering is required.
• 1–3 years of relevant experience, preferably with HVAC and/or Building Management Systems (BMS).
• Strong interest in smart buildings, automation, and emerging building technologies.
• Effective communication, writing, analytical, and negotiation skills.
• Highly organized, self-motivated, and dependable; able to multitask and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Review tender documents to identify technical, commercial, and contractual requirements.
• Prepare and submit clear, competitive bid proposals meeting client specs and deadlines.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Projects, and Sales teams to address clarifications and post-submission queries.
• Perform detailed cost estimation for project scopes and deliverables to support pricing accuracy.
• Source, evaluate, and manage quotations from suppliers and subcontractors for cost-effectiveness.
• Support pricing strategies through commercial discussions and negotiations with stakeholders.
• Coordinate with Engineering teams for smooth project handover and commercial support during execution.
• Interpret technical specifications, drawings, and engineering documentation for proposal accuracy.
• Organize and prioritize multiple tasks to meet tight tender schedules.
• Utilize Microsoft Office, especially Excel, to prepare and manage proposal documents and data.
