Job summary

MUSG Pte Ltd in Singapore is seeking a Technical Proposal & Application Engineer to design competitive bids by reviewing inquiries, specs, and tender documents, and to translate client needs into robust technical solutions.

You will perform engineering calculations, prepare BOMs and cost estimates, and collaborate across sales, project management, procurement, and product teams to ensure feasible, compliant proposals and a smooth handover to delivery after contract award.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, or industrial engineering (or equivalent technical field).
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings, schematics, or process diagrams (like P&IDs), alongside strong proficiency in sizing tools and Microsoft Office.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, structured time management to meet strict tender deadlines, and strong problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Review customer inquiries, technical specifications, and tender documents to design competitive, compliant bids.
• Analyze client requirements, perform engineering calculations, and select the correct equipment, systems, or architecture.
• Prepare detailed bills of materials (BOM), cost estimates, and pricing schedules.
• Collaborate with sales, project management, procurement, and internal product teams to ensure feasibility and alignment.
• Support pre-bid meetings, present technical proposals, and clarify project scopes or risk assumptions.
• Transfer finalized technical scopes, assumptions, and execution requirements smoothly to the project delivery team upon winning a contract.
