Job summary

Heng Sheng Construction & Engineering Pte. Ltd. is seeking an on-site supervisor to plan and control the execution of construction projects in Singapore.

The role involves coordinating manpower, plant, and materials, reviewing drawings, and identifying discrepancies to keep the project on track. You will supervise site works, ensure safety and housekeeping, and communicate with the Project Manager/Director.

Qualifications

• Experience in planning and controlling on-site construction projects.
• Familiarity with drawings, specifications and change management.

Responsibilities

• Report to Project Manager, Director and assist in planning and controlling execution of the project.
• Confirm manpower, plant and materials requirements on site.
• Review drawings, specs and instructions, highlight discrepancies, and update drawings with site changes.
• Supervise on-site works and coordinate site progress, manpower, plant and machinery deployment.
• Prepare progress reports for progress claims and monitor project activities.
• Verify works performed by workers and receive client instructions for variations.
• Raise purchase requisitions and verify materials delivered to site.
• Analyze deviations from the project program and propose corrective actions.
• Provide feedback on project performance to the Manager and ensure quality and wastage targets.
• Ensure site safety, housekeeping and safe transport of workers.

• Report to Project Manager, Director.


• Plan and control the execution of the project. Confirms the manpower, machinery and materials requirement on site.


• Check thoroughly drawings, specification and instructions received and also highlight their discrepancies and work changes to the Manager/Site Manager. He also monitors and updates drawings.


• Supervise site works.


• Co-ordinate matters pertaining to site progress, manpower, plant and machinery deployment, mobilisation schedule, storage and access areas.


• Confirm the site progress reports for the purpose of progress claims, monitoring project activities and proposed corrective actions.


• Verify works done by workers.


• Receive and confirm client's instructions of variation works.


• Raise purchase requisition and check materials delivered to site.


• Analyse the cause and effect of actual and expected deviations from the current project program.


• Provide feedback of project performance to the Manager.


• Manage the quality of work at site.


• Control and minimise wastage within the set targets.


• Ensure housekeeping.


• To transport workers.


• To ensure the safety at site.
