Job summary

Houston Construction Pte. Ltd. is seeking a Civil Engineer with practical site experience to support project management on HDB construction sites.

The role involves coordinating meetings, submitting drawings and samples to authorities, and actively monitoring progress and quality on site. The candidate should have a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent, with at least two years of relevant experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in building and construction under HDB projects.
• Ability to work independently with minimal guidance and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Assist the project manager with on- and off-site meetings for technical issues.
• Submit structures and architectural samples, shop drawings, and related documents to consultants or authorities.
• Coordinate and monitor site progress including periodical inspections and meetings.
• Demonstrate problem-solving to progress work according to schedule.
• Supervise site activities and coordinate with subcontractors, RE, and RTO.
• Oversee quality control and safety and health on site.

Job description

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for submission of Structures and Architectural samples, shops drawing and other related documents to the consultants or authorities
• Coordinate and monitor work progress at site including periodical site inspection and attending meetings during course of construction of project
• Proven problem solving and achievements work progress according to the work schedule
• Site supervision and able to coordinate well with sub-contractors, RE and RTO
• Oversee quality control and safety and health matters on site.

Requirements:

• Candidate must at least a Bachelor’s Degree, Post Graduate Diploma in Civil Engineering or equivalent
• Min 2 year relevant experience in Building and Construction Industry under HDB Project
• Be able to work independently with minimum guidance
• Good team player, keen desire to learn, contribute, advance and progress with the company.
