Job summary

Thales Group in Singapore is seeking a collaborative NOC Engineer to join our 24x7 follow-the-sun network operations center. You will respond to alerts from global data centers, work daytime hours with weekend and holiday rotations, and contribute to incident management from our Singapore office at Suntec City.

You will apply networking knowledge to triage incidents, follow SOPs, mentor new engineers, and support ongoing projects to improve network reliability and performance, using tools like

Qualifications

• CCNA or JNCIA certification or equivalent.
• Linux scripting knowledge is an advantage.
• Working knowledge of internet routing (BGP).
• Strong TCP/IP, HTTP/S, DNS fundamentals.
• Basic Linux and scripting languages.
• Ability to collaborate and meet deadlines in time-sensitive situations.
• Organized multitasking and ability to work independently.
• Experience with monitoring tools like Zabbix, Grafana, ELK, Pingdom.

Responsibilities

• Respond to and remediate alerts across global datacenters.
• Triage incidents and follow SOPs, propose improvements.
• Serve as escalation point for critical issues.
• Improve network performance and stability.
• Build and maintain technical knowledge and mentor others.
• Participate in long-term projects and operational issues.
• Analyze data to produce reports on network performance.
• Grow in knowledge and scope of responsibility.
