Qualifications

• 3 years of attorney-level experience in government, in-house, or at a law firm.
• Admitted to the bar and in good standing or otherwise authorized to practice law in Singapore.

Responsibilities

• Conduct legal reviews and provide advisory and commercial support across Google’s product, marketing, and business initiatives; respond to legal requests from Marketing, Sales, Product, Finance, Tax, and other cross-functional groups across Southeast Asia (SEAS).
• Review draft legislation and work with Google’s Global Affairs team.
• Build relationships with regulators and authorities in SEAS; manage regulatory inquiries, and autonomously solve contentious issues relating to Google’s products and operations.
• Advise management and cross-functional project teams in Asia-Pacific (APAC) and the United States regarding legal risks in SEAS; coordinate and ensure buy-in from all stakeholders.
• Work with external legal counsel on matters ranging from regulatory issues to expert advice requests.
