Job summary

Google is seeking a Senior Counsel and Manager of Regulatory Affairs, Content Advisory in APAC to lead a team advising on content, AI and consumer protection laws. You’ll work with Product, Engineering and Compliance to translate legislation into practical compliance guidance and to support product launches and business deals.

You will engage with regulators across APAC, shape engagement strategies, and build strong relationships while ensuring consistent regulatory approaches across regions.

Qualifications

• Admitted to the bar and in good standing in the relevant jurisdiction.
• 10 years of attorney-level experience in government, in-house, or at a law firm.
• Experience managing teams.

Responsibilities

• Interpret laws into requirements for Compliance, Business, Product, and Engineering teams.
• Lead government and regulator discussions, negotiations, and disclosures on compliance readiness.
• Set engagement strategy and guide a growing team to defend the company.
• Support shaping new laws in Content, AI and Consumer Protection with cross-functional teams.
• Collaborate with global content teams to drive defensible compliance positions.
