Job summary

Jefferies in Singapore seeks a Compliance Vice President to oversee and strengthen the firm’s regulatory framework. The role covers regulatory reporting, licensing, monitoring, governance reporting, and change initiatives in a lean team environment.

You will partner with senior management, regional Compliance teams, and regulators to provide practical advice, drive training, and elevate risk governance across Equities, Fixed Income Sales and Trading, Research, and Investment Banking.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in Compliance, internal controls, regulatory advisory, audit, or risk management.
• Experience in a global investment bank or securities firm preferred.
• Strong knowledge of MAS/SGX rules and regulations.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with senior stakeholders.
• Ability to work independently in a lean team environment.

Responsibilities

• Oversee Singapore regulatory reporting obligations and ensure compliance with requirements.
• Coordinate regulatory enquiries, inspections, audits, and investigations.
• Enhance and execute the compliance monitoring and testing framework.
• Oversee licensing matters including staff licensing applications and annual returns.
• Develop and maintain compliance policies and controls aligned with regs and firm standards.
• Support and drive the compliance training programme within the firm.
• Manage core compliance processes including employee personal account dealing and approvals.
• Prepare risk assessments, dashboards, and governance reports for senior management.
