We are seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented Shipping & Logistics Coordinator Assistant to streamline our marine supply chain and operations. You will support our logistics team by coordinating daily freight movements, managing essential shipping documentation, and facilitating proactive communication with external partners to ensure timely delivery of equipment and supplies.
Carrier & Forwarder Coordination:
Communicate daily with freight forwarders, ocean/air carriers, and local trucking partners to secure competitive freight rates and confirm cargo bookings.
Documentation Management:
Accurately prepare, review, and process critical shipping and customs documentation including Commercial Invoices, Packing Lists, Bills of Lading, and permits.
Tracking & Status Updates:
Actively monitor transit status for inbound and outbound shipments, flagging potential bottlenecks or delivery delays to the Marine Operations team.
Data Maintenance:
Upkeep precise logs of logistics schedules, ETAs, and freight invoice reconciliations within our corporate tracking systems.
Operational Support
Collaborate closely with internal operations, warehousing, and finance departments to optimize end-to-end delivery metrics.
Experience:
1–2 years of practical experience in logistics administration, freight forwarding, or manufacturing supply chain coordination.
Knowledge:
Foundational familiarity with international shipping terms (Incoterms), port operations, and local customs compliance procedures.
Technical Skills:
High proficiency in MS Excel and general ease utilizing ERP or transport management systems.
Core Competencies:
Proven problem-solving capabilities, strong organizational skills, and the capacity to meet tight turnaround schedules under minimal supervision.
