Phoenix Contact SEA Pte Ltd in Singapore seeks a logistics professional to manage freight forwarding for inbound and outbound shipments. You will track schedules, prepare shipment documents, and support various shipping activities to ensure timely delivery.

Ideal candidates have a Diploma in Logistics, 3+ years in shipping, and strong attention to detail with good communication. Knowledge of customs is a plus.

About the role

You will be responsible for performing all activities related to freight forwarding services for both inbound and outbound shipments as well as tracking shipment schedule and processing shipment documentation as per customer orders.

Key responsibilities

• Contract freight forwarding service for all inbound and outbound shipments at the most cost effective manner
• Generate documentation required as per customer order, track shipment schedule and support in shipment arrangement as per agreed contractual terms and conditions
• Support outbound, inbound shipment and sampling outgoing quality check activities
• Monitor material inbound/outbound shipment and ensure that they meet the requirement
• Manage all activities in the shipping areas and maintain accurate records of all transactions
• Prepare documents such as delivery order, proforma invoices, packing list etc. to meet shipment requirement
• Prepare freight invoices for payment process
• Process and follow up Marine insurance claim
• Coordinate with operations team for stock taking and stock control
• Assist Logistic Manager in all related logistics matters

About you

• Minimum Diploma in Logistic Management or equivalent
• Minimum 3 years' experience in shipping inbound and outbound
• Knowledge in custom procedures and documentation requirement
• Ensure all shipments are accurate to the customer request, packaged in appropriate packaging and accompanied by all appropriate documentation
• Implement best practices to achieve 24 hour turnaround from receipt of order to shipment
• Team player with strong analytical skill, initiative, energetic and customer-oriented
• Detail oriented and ability to multi-task and work independently
• Good interpersonal and communication skill
• Knowledge on the use of computers, internet and emailing
• Knowledge in Microsoft office application especially in MS Excel and MS Word
