Job summary

Salling Search Pte. Ltd. in Singapore is seeking a Shipowner's Representative for a ship management company specializing in MPP/heavy-lift vessels.

The role serves as the primary liaison between the shipowner, the management company, charterers, ports and service providers to safeguard interests across technical, operational, safety and commercial matters. The successful candidate will monitor vessel performance, budgets, dry-docking, certifications and compliance, and will lead senior crew

Qualifications

• Seagoing experience on MPP, heavy-lift or multipurpose vessels.
• Shore-based Marine Superintendent/Shipowner's Representative experience.
• Strong knowledge of ISM, ISPS, MLC, PSC, PMS, SMS.
• Excellent English, both written and spoken.
• Willing to travel up to 200 days per year.
• Ability to manage OPEX and budgets.

Responsibilities

• Represent the shipowner with the ship management company and monitor performance.
• Review vessel reports, maintenance plans and repair proposals.
• Monitor PMS, certification and overall asset condition.
• Control OPEX, costs, spare parts and third-party expenses.
• Oversee dry-docking, major repairs and vessel handovers.
• Ensure compliance with ISM/ISPS/MLC and class rules.
• Conduct safety inspections and investigations.
• Coordinate with charterers, ports and service providers.
• Provide regular reports to Technical Head on vessel status.
• Act as technical representative for insurance and P&I matters when required.
