Job description

Core Responsibilities
  • Connect shipowners with charterers to secure cargo space and vessel fixtures.
  • Drive and finalize commercial terms for voyage charters, time charters, and COAs.
  • Monitor shipping supply/demand, fuel costs, and global trends to advise clients.
  • Maintain daily contact with oil majors, traders, chemical producers, and owners.
  • Draft, review, and execute fixture recaps and charter party documentation.
  • Work with post-fixture teams to ensure smooth voyages and resolve disputes.
Key Requirements
  • Degree in Maritime, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience); IICS membership is a plus.
  • 2 to 5 years in shipbroking or tanker cargoes/specialized commodity trading.
  • Familiar with tanker vessel types, cargo compatibility, and port restrictions.
  • Strong voyage calculation abilities and sharp commercial negotiation skills.
  • Proactive, adaptable, and an excellent communicator with international stakeholders.
