Job summary

Adelmo Singapore Pte Ltd seeks a Service Sales Engineer to drive service revenue growth for UPS and power protection solutions. The role combines service business development, technical sales and engineering support with a focus on preventive maintenance contracts, battery replacement and lifecycle services.

You will develop new business, provide technical guidance to the field team and maintain strong customer relationships while coordinating with internal sales and operations to secure service

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering or related technical discipline.
• 3–5 years of relevant experience in technical sales, electrical maintenance, UPS systems or industrial service.
• Good understanding of AC/DC electrical fundamentals and troubleshooting.
• Ability to interpret electrical drawings and service reports.
• Strong communication, customer engagement and negotiation skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and grow service revenue through UPS PM contracts, maintenance and repair services.
• Identify new customers and promote service agreements and maintenance contracts.

Service Sales Engineer (UPS & Power Protection)

Job Description

Adelmo Singapore Pte Ltd, an established provider of Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) systems, batteries and power protection solutions, is seeking a Service Sales Engineer to drive the growth of our service business while providing technical support to our Field Service Team.

This position combines service business development, technical sales and engineering support , with a primary focus on expanding preventive maintenance contracts, battery replacement services, UPS repairs and other lifecycle maintenance opportunities.

We are looking for a commercially driven individual with sound electrical knowledge, strong customer engagement skills and the initiative to develop new business opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

• Service Sales & Business Development Develop and grow service revenue through UPS preventive maintenance (PM) contracts, corrective maintenance, battery replacement and repair services. Identify and acquire new customers requiring UPS maintenance and technical support services. Promote annual and multi-year maintenance contracts to new and existing customers. Identify service opportunities from existing UPS installations, maintenance findings and equipment lifecycle requirements. Conduct customer visits, site surveys and technical assessments to understand service requirements. Prepare service quotations, technical proposals and maintenance agreements. Follow up on quotations, negotiate with customers and secure confirmed service orders. Maintain an active sales pipeline and achieve assigned service sales and profitability targets. Identify UPS replacement and upgrade opportunities and coordinate with the Product Sales Team.
• Technical Support & Troubleshooting Provide technical guidance and troubleshooting support to the Field Service Team. Assist in diagnosing UPS faults, battery abnormalities and electrical system issues. Review technical findings, fault reports and recommended corrective actions. Support complex site troubleshooting, technical investigations and equipment assessments when required. Liaise with manufacturers and suppliers on technical matters and product-related issues. Assist in developing troubleshooting procedures, service guidelines and technical training. Ensure technical recommendations comply with applicable safety requirements and company procedures.
• Customer Relationship & Service Coordination Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential service customers. Work closely with the Service Operations Coordinator and Field Service Team to ensure effective service delivery. Follow up on maintenance recommendations, service quotations and contract renewals. Provide professional technical advice on UPS maintenance, battery replacement and equipment reliability. Maintain accurate customer records, service opportunities and sales progress reports.

Job Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering or a related technical discipline.
• Preferably 3-5 years of relevant experience in technical sales, electrical maintenance, UPS systems, power equipment or industrial service.
• Experience in service sales, maintenance contracts or after-sales technical support is an advantage.
• Good understanding of AC/DC electrical fundamentals, batteries and electrical troubleshooting.
• Ability to interpret electrical drawings, technical specifications and service reports.
• Strong communication, customer engagement and negotiation skills.
• Self-motivated, responsible and results-oriented, with the ability to work independently.
• Willing to travel to customer sites for technical assessments and business development.
• Possession of a Class 3 driving licence is an advantage.
