Job summary

SHIMADZU SINGAPORE PTE LTD is seeking a dedicated Field Service Engineer to provide technical support to clients in Singapore, covering installations, preventive maintenance, relocations and troubleshooting to ensure peak instrument performance. You will assist sales with on-site visits, deliver basic operation training, prepare technical reports, and contribute technical expertise during product seminars.

Candidates should have a engineering degree and at least 3 years of field service

Qualifications

• Degree or diploma in Electronics/Electrical/Chemical Engineering or equivalent.
• At least 3 years of relevant field service experience.
• Experience with Gas Chromatography instruments is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Support the sales team in managing projects that require customer visits and site inspections.
• Support sales by responding to customers' queries.
• Provide customers with technical support (via phone, email and/ or onsite) for installations and product maintenance and basic operation training.
• Support customers in troubleshooting and resolving product performance problems (via phone, email and/ or onsite) highlighted by customers.
• Prepare technical documentation (including official memos and SOPs) on installation, maintenance, troubleshooting and repair for customers.
• Provide technical expertise to sales team during product seminars and exhibitions.
• Ensure accurate documentation and reporting of repairs and product failures.
• Follow-up with warranty claim submissions.

The Role

The talented individual in this position is responsible for providing excellent technical support to our clients who have associated Shimadzu with good quality. The range of technical support includes installations, preventive maintenance, relocation, trouble shooting and resolving product performance problems. He/she supports customers in Singapore.

The Requirements
