Field Service Engineer – Semiconductor Equipment

Singapore | Permanent

Our client is looking for a Field Service Engineer to provide technical support and service for semiconductor equipment at customer sites. This is a hands‑on role covering installation, troubleshooting, maintenance, repair, and equipment relocation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide field service and technical support to customers within the semiconductor industry.
  • Perform installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, de-installation, and relocation of semiconductor equipment at customer sites.
  • Support facilities‑related activities involving electrical, CDA, gas, vacuum, exhaust, and cooling water systems.
  • Attend technology transfer programmes and technical training conducted by equipment manufacturers.
  • Provide technical training, troubleshooting assistance, and consultation to customers.
  • Carry out in‑house repair and maintenance of equipment and components, including heater jackets, vacuum valves, and other devices.
  • Work closely with internal departments to ensure timely and effective customer support.
  • Support logistics activities including packing, unpacking, and delivery of parts and equipment when required.
  • Maintain proper organisation, labelling, and housekeeping of tools, parts, and work areas in accordance with 6S practices.
  • Ensure all tools and equipment are properly used, maintained, and accounted for.
  • Complete assigned technical and safety training programmes.
  • Prepare accurate and timely service reports, repair reports, project daily reports, and other required documentation.
  • Respond promptly to troubleshooting and repair requests to minimise customer equipment downtime.
  • Comply with company policies, procedures, safety requirements, and customer‑site regulations.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality of company and customer information.
  • Perform other duties assigned by the Team Leader or Department Manager.
Requirements
  • ITE or Diploma in Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
  • Comfortable working at semiconductor wafer fabrication facilities, including cleanroom and sub‑fab environments, as well as the company workshop.
  • Willing to work overtime, including evenings and weekends, when required. OT will be paid.
  • Hands‑on, technically inclined, and comfortable working in a customer‑facing environment.
  • Strong troubleshooting, problem‑solving, and communication skills.
