Aibel in Singapore seeks an experienced Senior Weight Control Engineer to lead weight estimation and control activities across FPSO projects. You will coordinate data from multiple disciplines, develop weight reports, and support bids from concept through construction.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil/Structural/Mechanical/Naval engineering.
• Minimum 10 years in upstream oil & gas engineering, FPSO exposure.
• Minimum 5 years as Senior weight control engineer.

Responsibilities

• Report to Engineering Manager and support assigned projects.
• Act as single point of contact for Weight Estimation and Weight Control within the project.
• Prepare weight control procedures, specifications, formats and monthly/bi-monthly reports.
• Establishing NTE weights of topsides modules and COG envelope for each module.
• Estimate weights/COG across disciplines using historical data and benchmark against past projects.
• Collect, verify and maintain weight data and COG database; issue weight reports throughout project duration.
• Verify and validate input data and highlight anomalies to Discipline Leads.
• Monitor weight data changes and alert management of significant shifts.
• Review vendor/sub-contractor weight data for compliance with procedures.
• Create awareness of weight growth impact and suggest weight reduction opportunities.
• Establish and maintain a weight forecast system; oversee physical weighing if required.
• Provide technical support to obtain approvals from verification bodies and attendees at reviews.
