Job summary

Hanwha Ocean EPU seeks a Lead Weight Control Engineer to manage Topsides Weight Management for FPSO/FLNG and offshore projects. You will oversee weight estimation, tracking, forecasting, reporting, and governance across all project phases, ensuring CG targets and deliverables are met.

You will develop standards, validate weight data, and mentor junior engineers while collaborating with global teams across Korea, the USA, Brazil, Singapore, and India to deliver constructible, fabrication-ready

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Structural/Civil/Naval Architecture or related discipline; Master’s degree preferred.
• 15+ years of offshore/onshore plant, EPC, oil and gas, energy, or industrial project experience.
• Proven experience leading Weight Control programs for FPSO/FLNG/offshore facilities.
• Strong experience in weight estimation, budgeting, forecasting, center of gravity management, weight databases, and reporting.
• Practical experience in design and drafting deliverables, drawing standards, document control, and multidisciplinary coordination.
• Fluent English; additional languages advantageous in multinational environments.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Weight Management procedures, standards, tools, and best practices.
• Maintain topsides weight databases and lessons-learned records across project stages.
• Lead weight control-related design reviews and interfaces with multidisciplinary teams.
• Coordinate with naval architecture, piping, mechanical, lifting, and installation teams for integrated solutions.
• Provide governance on weight data, analyses, and reporting; mentor junior engineers.
