Job summary

Aibel Pte Ltd in Singapore is seeking a Senior Weight Control Engineer with extensive experience in upstream oil & gas projects, including FPSO weighings and topsides weight management. Responsibilities include establishing weight budgets, preparing weight control reports, coordinating data from disciplines, and ensuring compliance with project specifications throughout concept to installation.

The candidate should possess strong technical communication and have demonstrable FPSO weight control

Qualifications

• Must have extensive experience in weight management for upstream oil & gas projects (platforms & FPSO).
• Hands-on in developing weight control reports and conducting actual yard/field weighing operations.
• Proven ability to review 3D models, layouts, and MTOs to derive weight input.

Responsibilities

• Report to the Engineering Manager and support project teams on weight estimation and control.
• Act as single point of contact for weight estimation and CO G across phases from bid to installation.
• Prepare weight control procedures, weight budgets, and weight reports in line with project specs.
• Establish FPSO topsides weight budgets and CO G envelopes considering lifting, stability, and hull capacity.
• Collect, validate, and maintain weight data from disciplines and vendors.
