Job summary

National Environment Agency in Singapore seeks a dedicated engineer to help plan, develop and manage future solid waste infrastructure projects, including potential pilot facilities. The role involves feasibility studies, design reviews, procurement oversight, and site supervision to ensure safe, on-time, cost-conscious delivery.

The ideal candidate has 2–3 years of relevant engineering experience, strong communication skills, and a team-oriented, self-motivated attitude.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil, Electrical, Mechanical, Chemical or Environmental Engineering is preferred.
• At least 2–3 years of relevant engineering experience preferred.
• Knowledge in solid waste management systems, project management and review of building plans and drawings advantageous.
• Strong written and spoken communication skills; good interpersonal abilities.

Responsibilities

• Conduct feasibility studies, planning, design/financial review and formulate programme plans for infrastructure projects.
• Obtain planning approval and funding support.
• Plan and implement project schedules for timely execution.
• Administer procurement to select consultants and contractors, including tender documents.
• Supervise consultants/contractors and inspect sites to ensure safety, timeliness and cost-effectiveness.
• Manage funding and budget planning cycles for projects.
• Liaise with internal and external stakeholders across projects.
