Job summary

Public Service Division in Singapore is recruiting for an engineering professional to contribute to the planning, development, and management of solid waste infrastructure projects, including potential pilot carbon capture facilities aligned with the SG Green Plan 2030.

The role involves feasibility studies, planning and financial review, procurement, and coordination with internal and external stakeholders to deliver safe, timely, and cost-effective projects.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil, Electrical, Mechanical, Chemical or Environmental Engineering is preferred. Applicants with degree in other engineering fields with work experience in a related field may also be considered.
• At least 2-3 years of relevant working experience in engineering will be highly preferred.
• Knowledge in solid waste management systems, project management and review of building plans and engineering drawings would be advantageous

Responsibilities

• Conduct engineering feasibility studies, planning, design / financial review and formulate programme/action plans in infrastructure projects
• Obtain planning approval and funding support
• Plan and implement project schedules to ensure timely project execution
• Administer the procurement process to select and appoint project consultants and contractors, including preparation of tender documents
• Supervise consultants/contractors and carry out site inspections to ensure that the infrastructure projects are developed in a safe, timely and cost-effective manner, in compliance with the tender requirements
• Manage funding and budget planning cycles for projects
• Work and liaise with various internal and external stakeholders of projects
