Job summary

The Waste Infrastructure and Engineering Division (WIED) within the NEA is seeking an engineer to assist planning, development and management of future solid waste infrastructure projects, including potential pilot carbon capture facilities contributing to SG Green Plan 2030.

You will conduct feasibility studies, oversee procurement, supervise consultants and contractors, manage schedules and budgets, and coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to deliver safe, timely and

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil, Electrical, Mechanical, Chemical or Environmental Engineering preferred.
• Applicants with degree in other engineering fields with related work experience may be considered.
• At least 2–3 years of relevant engineering experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct feasibility studies, planning, design/financial reviews and formulate programme/action plans for infrastructure projects.
• Obtain planning approval and funding support.
• Plan and implement project schedules to ensure timely project execution.
• Administer the procurement process to select project consultants and contractors, including tender documents.
• Supervise consultants/contractors and carry out site inspections to ensure safety, timeliness and cost-effectiveness.
• Manage funding and budget planning cycles for projects.
• Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders of projects.
