Job summary

HSBC Life (Singapore) Pte Limited is seeking a Vice-President, Regulatory Compliance Insurance to lead regulatory compliance within the life insurance unit in Singapore. You will provide practical compliance guidance, shape policy, and work with regulators and business partners to manage risk and change.

The role requires strong regulatory experience in life insurance, excellent communication, and the ability to translate complex rules into actionable business decisions.

Qualifications

• Strong regulatory compliance experience in life insurance in Singapore.
• Audit background and knowledge of regulatory compliance in financial institutions considered.
• Excellent communication and influencing skills with multiple stakeholders.
• Ability to interpret complex information and provide clear summaries.
• Experience handling regulatory matters and interaction with Regulators.
• Experience supporting complex change initiatives and risk reporting.

Responsibilities

• Provide regulatory compliance advice to the insurance business and support the SVP Head of Regulatory Compliance.
• Ensure adherence to local regulations, regulatory expectations, and internal policies.
• Monitor and advise on regulatory developments to anticipate changes.
• Embed compliance into business decisions, including product reviews and new services.
• Identify, assess, mitigate, elevate, and report compliance risks.
• Collaborate with stakeholders and manage regulator engagements and enquiries.
• Produce governance reporting and support PMO status updates.
• Support strategic projects including Legal Day 1 readiness and TSA continuity.
