Qualifications

• Minimum education: degree in a relevant field.
• At least 8–10 years of regulatory compliance experience in the insurance sector.
• Strong knowledge of the Insurance Act, Financial Advisers Act and related guidelines.
• Leadership abilities and stakeholder relationship skills.
• Analytical, meticulous, and able to work under pressure.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Adaptable and able to manage multiple tasks independently.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary regulatory liaison with authorities, coordinating inspections and information requests.
• Provide compliance advisory on regulatory requirements and support business units in new initiatives/projects.
• Oversee and support local entities on compliance matters, including localisation of Group policies and guidelines.
• Identify and assess the impact of regulatory developments while keeping abreast of industry trends and risks.
• Manage compliance incidents, ensuring timely reporting and tracking of action plans.
• Initiate Compliance Requirement Self Assessments (CRSA) for applicable laws and regulations.
• Support enhancements to the eGRC system and assist stakeholders during testing.
• Prepare and coordinate compliance-related materials and reports for management meetings.
• Undertake ad-hoc tasks/projects as delegated by Supervisor or Head of Group Regulatory Compliance.
