Job summary

No deviation Pte Ltd. in Singapore seeks an Upstream MSAT Engineer to lead NPI and technology transfer activities for commercial biologics.

You will apply strong process knowledge to assess risks and guide the PD team, ensuring readiness for PPQ while escalating key decisions through PD leadership. The role requires advanced degrees, extensive biopharma manufacturing experience, and proven ability to communicate complex data clearly.

Qualifications

• Master's degree with 4 years of directly related experience, OR a Bachelor’s or advanced degree with 6+ years of experience
• 6+ years of relevant experience in a commercial manufacturing environment within biotechnology or pharmaceutical industries
• At least 4 years of experience in regulated environments (e.g. cGMP)
• Preferred: cell culture and/or purification process knowledge
• Preferred: understanding of process characterization and scale-up
• Preferred: experience with floor support and documenting investigations to support cGMP production
• Preferred: experience in technology transfer of new processes to a commercial site
• Preferred: strong technical writing, verbal communication and presentation skills
• Preferred: ability to lead small teams and projects

Responsibilities

• Independently lead assigned NPI and technology transfer workstreams
• Translate process knowledge into site requirements and support readiness for engineering runs and PPQ
• Identify technical gaps and risks and escalate decisions
• Provide scientific and engineering support for cell culture, harvest and purification
• Evaluate manufacturing performance and complex process issues
• Partner with Manufacturing, Quality and other functions to resolve process challenges
• Lead or provide senior guidance on complex deviation investigations
• Integrate data to reach scientifically justified conclusions
• Coach PD engineers in structured problem solving and clear communication
