Job summary

STMicroelectronics in Singapore seeks a Thermal-Mechanical Simulation Engineer to advance optical and photonic packaging projects. You will perform FEA, CFD and multiphysics studies to optimize performance, manufacturability and cost, collaborating with mechanical, optical and substrate designers across global teams.

You will use Python scripting and SolidWorks for analysis, contribute to failure investigations, verify improvements, and present results to stakeholders worldwide, while traveling

Qualifications

• Experience in mechanical engineering with emphasis on thermal-mechanical performance.
• Strong knowledge of material science and solid mechanics.

Responsibilities

• Perform FEA/CFD/multiphysics studies to identify issues early in development.
• Recommend design improvements to enhance performance and robustness.
• Support failure investigations and root-cause analysis with analysis tools.
• Collaborate with package design, optical and substrate engineers across locations to implement improvements.
