This role sits within the Technology Systems group mainly working on fluid dynamics, thermodynamics and sensing technologies. Our Technology Systems Team is more than just a group of engineers - we are trailblazers in delivering cutting-edge technical systems (fluids, thermals, sensing technologies, etc) for Hair care and other new category products. Based in Singapore and the Philippines, our team is at the forefront of innovation, constantly pushing the boundaries of what's possible in product development.
  • Our engineers take full ownership of delivering projects from early stages of a product until start of production levels of maturity, providing them with unparalleled exposure to the product life cycle. With access to a state-of-the-art lab, simulations, and analytical tools, they are able to harness their creativity and technical expertise to bring world-class products to market.
Main Duties/Responsibilities
  • Take charge of the fluid and thermodynamics disciplines for your assigned project, ensuring its successful execution from start to finish.
  • Own performance specifications within projects and expected to ensure that the product performance satisfy the requirements. Deliverables include analytical study, experimental testing, as well as simulation (via CFD).
  • Manage related technical risk actively and provide mitigations as needed. Ensure timely closure of risk items.
  • Resolve FRACAS (Problem Report) through systematic technical analysis in timely manner.
  • To support the growth and upkeep of the team's test and simulation capabilities and wider business objectives.
About you
  • A Bachelor degree in Fluid Dynamics/Mechanical engineering or equivalent. Having a relevant Master or PhD degree would be advantageous.
  • 4+ years of experience in mechanical product analysis & development, preferably in the consumer electrical appliance industry.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment with a continuous learning mindset, where adaptability and collaboration are essential.
  • In-depth knowledge in the field of fluid dynamics, thermodynamics and a demonstrated capability in CFD is essential for the role.
  • Knowledge and working experience on thermal measurement techniques and hardware such as thermal camera, thermocouples, picologgers, NI instrumentation etc. is a plus.
  • In-depth knowledge and experience on the principles of heat transfer and heater system-level design is a plus.
