Job summary

The Supreme HR Advisory Pte. Ltd. is seeking a Technical Purchaser / Senior Buyer for R&D and semiconductor equipment, based in Admiralty, Singapore. The role covers sourcing, BOM review, supplier coordination and on-time delivery within a fast-paced engineering environment.

You should have a relevant engineering or procurement degree and 3-7 years of semiconductor equipment purchasing experience, with strong Excel/ERP skills and the ability to work with design teams on prototypes.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in engineering, supply chain, procurement or a related discipline.
• Preferably 3-7 years of purchasing or technical sourcing experience in semiconductor equipment, automation, precision machinery or a similar engineering environment.
• Experience supporting R&D, new product introduction or first prototype builds is strongly preferred.
• Able to work with engineering BOMs, part specifications and drawing revisions, and clarify technical requirements with designers.
• Familiarity with precision machined parts and standard equipment components such as motors, drives, bearings, linear guides, ball screws, sensors and pneumatic components.
• Managing multiple changing priorities using Excel and purchasing/ERP systems.

Responsibilities

• 1. Support design and prototype development; identify purchasing requirements, sourcing risks and long lead-time components; review BOMs and track items.
• 2. Proactively source mechanical, electrical, motion control, pneumatic and other components; present alternatives; obtain engineering approval for substitutions.
• 3. Own supplier follow-up and delivery; negotiate terms and issue POs; secure acknowledgements and delivery dates; manage progress on critical items.
• 4. Maintain purchasing visibility and control; track part numbers, suppliers, POs, delivery promises and risks; coordinate with receiving, QA and engineering.
