Job summary

Fortinet is seeking a Technical Account Manager in Singapore to act as the primary contact for dedicated accounts, delivering technical solutions, reproducing customer environments, and coordinating with R&D to resolve product issues.

The candidate should have 6–10 years in technical support or post‑sales, strong TCP/IP, routing and switching knowledge, hands‑on experience with security products such as Firewalls and VPNs, Windows/Linux/Unix proficiency, and relevant certifications

Qualifications

• 6–10 years of experience in technical support in networking/security.
• Strong understanding of data networking protocols, TCP/IP, routing and switching.
• Hands-on experience with security products and technologies such as Firewalls, VPNs, and UTM.
• Experience with Windows, Linux or Unix systems.
• CCNA, CCNP, CCIE and/or CISSP certifications preferred.
• Experience in multi-vendor system integration.
• Experience in programming and scripting to automate data collection.
• Experience in data center deployments.
• Experience with wireless access points.
• Experience with SQL databases.

Responsibilities

• Be the primary point of contact for the dedicated account.
• Provide technical solutions to address customer issues.
• Centrally manage and prioritise customer issues for timely resolution.
• Reproduce customer environments on lab equipment.
• Follow-up with R&D to resolve product issues.
• Keep track of and resolve incident reports and support requests.
• Create technical documentation and bulletins to improve knowledge base.
• Update and provide guidance on new releases and features to dedicated accounts.
• Develop best practice deployment and troubleshooting documentation.
• Conduct periodic site visits for the managed accounts.
• Exercise independent judgment in methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for obtaining results.
