Job summary

TikTok is seeking a Technical Program Manager to own content safety for GenAI products, leading cross-functional teams across Product, Engineering, Policy, and Operations. You will build scalable safety evaluation pipelines, define future-proof safety strategies, and use data and feedback to mitigate risks, boosting system performance and user trust at scale.

This role requires hands-on AI experience, strong ownership, and the ability to navigate ambiguous problems while aligning stakeholders.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in Technical Program Management, AI/ML product development, or related technical roles in fast-paced environments.
• Hands-on experience with AI systems and tools, including prompt engineering, AI-assisted development, or agent-based workflows.
• Ability to lead and deliver complex, cross-functional technical programs with strong ownership and execution.
• Knowledge of GenAI systems, large language models, and safety or alignment challenges.
• Strong product and data intuition to structure ambiguous problems and drive measurable, outcome-oriented solutions.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end content safety for TikTok GenAI products, driving cross-functional execution across Product, Engineering, Algo, Policy, and Operations teams.
• Build and scale automated safety evaluation pipelines, and define robust, future-proof safety strategies for GenAI products and new feature launches.
• Use data, model signals, and user feedback to proactively detect, prioritize, and mitigate safety risks, improving system performance and user trust at scale.
• Lead complex technical programs across multiple teams, including roadmap definition, dependency management, execution tracking, and high-quality delivery. Influence technical and product direction by bringing clarity to ambiguous problem spaces, making principled trade-offs, and aligning stakeholders without direct authority.
• Leverage AI (e.g., LLM tools, AI-assisted coding, automation workflows) to accelerate development cycles and enhance robustness of safety systems.
